I've always struggled with my weight and being healthy.

I have tried to lose weight so many times. I knew what to do - eat less and move more - but I just couldn't stick to doing it consistently. After failing on so many occasions, I pretty much gave up...

But then I had a lightbulb moment...

 

My life had been dedicated to learning about how humans work and how to change their behaviour. I had read countless scientific papers on the mechanisms and determinants of behaviour and how to get humans to do things.

 

My professors had trained me to design strategies to effectively change human behaviour. 

So I set about to do just that: use my learnings from behavioural science to effectively change my behaviour and make me stick to weight loss.

Over a year, I was able to go from 220 lbs to 152lbs with such little effort.

By using strategies based on behavioural science research, I was able to create solutions which made it so much easier for me to eat less and move more. I analysed my situation from the perspective of a behavioural scientist and identified what was stopping me from doing the necessary weight loss behaviours and how to make it as easy as possible.
